This popular package includes the examination of key concepts in both Maths and English that you can explore at your own pace.

For our Functional Skills qualifications and certification, we work with NCFE. NCFE is recognised as an Awarding Organisation by the qualification regulators ('regulators') for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Modules:

• Reading – This Functional Skills Level 2 English module looks at reading for information, including looking at biased pieces of work and will help you to work out how much the opinions of certain authors can be trusted.
• Writing – This Functional Skills Level 2 English module looks at the best way to write certain pieces. This may include letters, newspaper articles, emails and blogs amongst others.
• Speaking, Listening and Communication – The speaking, listening and communication (SLC) element of English functional skills is one of the most useful and fun areas to strengthen.
• Using Numbers – This section of the Functional Skills Level 2 Maths covers everything from whole numbers to decimals, fractions and percentages.
• Understanding Measure, Shape and Space – This element of the Functional Skills Level 2 Maths course contains a wide range of topics from area and distance to time, speed and temperature.
• Handling Data – This section looks at working with information.

Assessment

• Exams are available 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
• You must have a quiet room where you will not be disturbed. We will invigilate your Functional Skills Maths exam using online classroom technology. Part of the exam allows the use of a non-scientific calculator.
• All installment plans must be paid and up to date before an exam can be booked.
